Taking the iconic "Born to be Wild" song lyrics to heart, Rockstar Automotive owner, Thomas Gerding, has truly got his "motor runnin'" - as he's recently put the wraps on his latest side project.

Assembled from start-to-finish in just one week, Gerding has built a new motor for his personal vehicle - a Chevy Silverado. Packing 450 "horses," it's a 6.0L, 11.1 compression engine with LS6 heads and boasts a Texas speed camshaft and flat top pistons.

Owner Thomas Gerding and the entire Rockstar Automotive team want to invite YOU to "Hot Rod Tuesday." What's "Hot Rod Tuesday?" Well, it's a weekly get together that's held here at our shop in Melbourne, FL every Tuesday at 7pm. A super-cool celebration of all things auto-related, "Hot Rod Tuesday" is open to the public, and it simply gives us a chance to connect and hang out with friends and customers who have auto questions or want to share their personal projects.

And speaking of personal projects, Thomas currently is building a new motor, while our ace technician, Doug, is in the process of restoring a classic '75 Chevy Caprice. What project are YOU working on right now? Well, come on down for "Hot Rod Tuesday" and let's "talk shop." Oh yeah, here's the kicker - WE provide the refreshments!
